Hunger

Feeding America is a national organization that supports 200 food banks (including MANNA FoodBank) and 6,000 food pantries throughout the country according to their website. Check out their website for details how you can be involved and take action.  

Key Allies

MANNA FoodBank is a private, not-for-profit service organization that links the food industry with over 200 partner agencies in 16 counties of WNC. MANNA’s mission is to involve, educate, and unite people in the work of ending hunger in Western North Carolina.  They are a member of Feeding America, the nation’s largest domestic hunger relief organization. “Together we can solve hunger.”

Asheville-Buncombe Food Policy Council’s mission is “to identify, propose and advocate for policies, financial appropriations, and innovative solutions to improve and protect our local food system in order to advance economic development, social justice, environmental sustainability, and community resiliency.”
